Oracle SBCs provides a web portal interface that can be used for administration and troubleshooting. Personally, I’m not a big fan of using the web interface, but there a few things that are easier using the GUI than the CLI and a few advantages.
One of those advantages is the “Monitor and Trace” menu option that lets you verify session created for inbound/outbound calls and registrations, that can be viewed in ladder diagrams.
This option is available even if the sip-monitoring element is not enabled, and it will display something like this:
The first thing to start enabling the “Monitor and Trace” menu, is creating the element in the OSBC:
Creating that element with the default parameters is enough to have the “Monitor and Trace” menu enabled to show new session traversing the OSBC. The next thing to do, is start the capture at root level as shown below:
